During the ill-famed World war II, many supplies were coming up short all around the world. Through embargo's, and deals with other countries, the United States was able to barely maintain a sense of security with their supplies, even those as simple as food. In the Art above, an example of war poster art, we see how Americans were encouraged to plant beans to feed their boys, which shows the desperate times that were trying the American forces.
